It's true. I still prefer hand-drawn portraits to photoed ones. It takes a fraction of a second to take a picture, but a drawing takes much more of one's time and spirit.)
It's a quite cool exercise, to draw portrait of random people. Though I can imagine some would feel angry, not everyone understands the complexity of drawing.) Myself, I prefer to draw portraits of dear ones. I find it easier, since I know them well, to capture their essence.)

Yes, the avatar is a simple self-portrait I made, in the style I like drawing the most. I got a bit tired of some people who come talk because of the pictures, and I decided to put it up. I find often portrait us better than a picture anyhow, can't it? :)
