I study 'Japanology' and 'film, theatre & media sciences'. Luckily Frankfurt offers a combination like this, otherwise I'd had to choose one of them. This is why I actually moved away from home.

Well, this is a rare attitude :D most of the people I know enjoy teachers getting off topic. The longer the better. If it's a little anecdote or an excursus, I'm okay with it. It proves that the teacher is also human ^^

yeah, I also am/was taught by this kind of people. From experience I can say, that this is actually the best way to teach anything. Well, at least if it doesn't become ridiculous.

well, it is kind of a personal problem. Whether or not I can go on studying at the university depends mostly on whether or not I get a student loan. Early in december I should get an answer. I'm still optimistic, though.
